A Sweet Reward and some Anthropologie Reviews - Interspersed Ponte Dress, Hallowell Cowlneck,

So I don't share much about my personal life on my blog because I really just started it as a place to help other people decide on clothes. I'd been stalking others' blogs for so long to help me decide which items I might want to order, try-on, or chance on final sale that I thought I should really give back and do the same. That being said I wanted to share a little mommy story since I know many bloggers are also moms. Many days of mommydom go by basically thankless. I LOVE being a mom but its rewards feel different than the rewards you may or may not get from going to a job every day. The other day I got my reward :)
My daughter and I love going to the zoo and have a tradition of getting some lemonade while we are there (we never have juice at home). Unfortunately, this has caused the problem of associating the zoo with lemonade and necessitating buying it immediately or the entire trip is ruined in whines for lemonade.
Now that is is October, the lemonade stands are no longer open - a fact that my daughter does not entirely agree with. So after a long and whine-ful morning at the zoo I'm trying to do anything to distract her from the lack of lemonade. We play a little running game where she runs away from me and then runs back and crashes into my legs. We do this over and over. I can't even imagine that it's that much fun for her but we laugh and I enjoy the chance for extra hugs. On the last hug, she looks up at me and says, "I love being with mommy."  Ahhh.... sweet reward.

And now on to some reviews...I apologize for the bad quality of the photos.

Hallowell Cowlneck in Ivory and Navy (size S)

This was an item in the catalogue that I knew I wanted to try on. I love the boucle texture of the wool but I think overall the sweater is much more attractive in the grey color (even though I am becoming a bit burned out on grey because I own a lot of it). The neck takes some fiddling with to get it straight. I was a little disappointed that the front of the sweater was so short. The circumference of the hem is rather large and it is hard to get that to lay well. Overall, I still love it because it is cozy and cute and unusual looking. The little piece of plaid trim at the front is a darling detail.

Interspersed Ponte Dress (XS) in Plum

I thought this might be a nice alternative to the Noon & Night dress. The XS felt slightly snug but the material also felt like it might stretch out a bit so I don't think I would size up. The neckline is super flattering. Made me feel like an aging ballerina - in a good way.

So you can't really see anything in this picture. One is a lovely silk tank top that is on sale for $19.95 and the pants are joe's jeans and they are made of a light weight chambray. OMG. they are awesome and are the perfect lightweight jeans for summer. They were $19.95 down from $148 or something crazy like that.

This Maxi Skirt was on sale for $19.95. The print was a bit too reminiscent of stuff I used to wear in high school. It was a bit too dowdy but comfortable. I'm wearing a size 0 which still felt loose and I am usually a size 2/4.

I have to make some returns tomorrow so I will remember to bring my camera in case anything else catches my eye!
